Christmas in the Air

They started playing Christmas songs on TV now. I know, Halloween is just a couple of days away and Thanksgiving is way too early to think about turkey at this time. But Christmas songs are all over the airwave already and I can’t help but think about it.

It has been snowing in the mountain last week so perhaps that gave the idea that it’s almost Christmas now so playing Christmas Carol is a-ok. But I am not really surprised. From where I came from, we celebrate Christmas season as early as September so Christmas carols in October is already a bit late now.

Yes, back in the Philippines, I remember that once the calendar turns to “BER” months [SeptemBER, OctoBER, NovemBER and DecemBER]… it is Christmas time. And once it’s BERmonths… all stores and some house would be decked in festive decorations.

I have not seen any Christmas decors around here yet but I am sure, based on my observation… that once the Halloween is over… Christmas decors will be taking over those racks and displays boxes in all those stores around here.

yeah basta BER months xmas na talaga sa atin. after halloween, meron na tayong makita na xmas decors.

anyway, about sa tanong mo. since maliit ang sidebar mo you need to add a width after sa img like this width="60px" ... just adjust the width to fit in your sidebar...

Yes, usually right after Halloween the stores here start promoting Christmas. I like that they play the Christmas songs early because December goes so fast and you generally only hear them around this time of year. I will be playing them at my house!

The thought of decorating christmas tress on christmas eve boggles me but I prefer having the decor on about 2 weeks before. That way, I won't get too tired looking at the reds, greens, and golds. :)

@ Karen... Well I guess most holidays anywhere in the world has lost it's real essence to commercialism.
