Blog Rebump, the Nth time around

You got that right!

I know. I know.

This is probably the Nth time I am going to reconstruct, revise, redesign, redo this blog and rethink if I want to continue blogging again.

I have no alibi. And I wasn't in hibernation mode either. I just lost the passion in blogging.

Probably, I reached the point when I feel that I don't want to do anything at all. Or maybe, I'm getting old.

Getting Ready for Hunting Season

Last weekend, I was enjoying my regular Saturday breakfast-in-bed while watching Good Morning America while my Sweetest was multi-tasking... eating breakfast, watching TV and searching online. Apparently, we was trying to get a hunting license.
Oh yeah, it's deer hunting season again. It's the most awaited season for almost all men here in Maine. Well, I already anticipate it that's why the last time I went shopping at Sam's Club, I got him a pair of camouflage base layer tops and bottom.  See, I don't usually shop for myself. I love shopping for my loved ones too. wink*
Since it is Fall and Maine's weather is kinda cruel, having the right outfit helps. Well, I'm not really too crazy about hunting but since I cannot do anything about it because it's his favorite sports so I might as well accept it. Besides I want my Saturday breakfast-in-bed so much so I don't want to jeopardize that. wink*
The pair of camo was a steal. I paid $11.95 for the tops and same price for the bottom. It's made of microfiber materials so it is good for moisture absorption and quick drying too. He was happy as a kid in a candy store when I gave them to him.

Secure your Premises with Security Cameras Merseyside

The world today is a 24 hour world allowing for flexible hours of work for employers and employees. This means that businesses can offer 24 hour service as goods and services are also available online. Security needs have therefore changed and must keep pace with a world that never stops.

Security cameras are an integral part of any complete security system. The benefits to be had from integrating 24 hour security into your home and or office are readily apparent. 24 hour surveillance provides unprecedented access and control. The benefits of these systems far outweigh the cost.

Security Cameras Merseyside can provide 24 hour access to your factory school, home, hospital or office. Security guards are only human and they need coffee and bathroom breaks. They are limited by the fact that they can only see what is in front of their eyes.

They cannot see around corners, through walls or very far distances. Security cameras are able to do it all.  There is no downtime based on human limitations. There are no shift requirements based on labour laws. Security cameras are all seeing and omnipresent. They can be everywhere and see everything.

Being able see it all is a definite advantage, but the ability of perfect recall is definitely an added bonus. The limitations of the human vision and memory can now be eliminated by using Security Cameras Merseyside. Information is now digitally recorded and available for easy and convenient at your fingertips access.

Falls, accidents and theft are commonplace in business.  There is no further need for he said or she said in insurance matters. Security cameras record information constantly and accurately. Information is always readily available and at hand. Claims and disputes can now be easily and conveniently settled.

With the necessary systems in place, security cameras work while you sleep always alert and on the job. The cost associated with security systems can be expensive and security fences and all its associated costs. Security guards around the clock would entail three different shifts.  Security is an expensive but necessary part of doing business.

Security systems are a deterrent to thieves and mischief makers who would try to profit from doing harm to your family or business. Without a security system in place your business is vulnerable to attack and fraudulent claims.

The presence of security cameras Merseyside can provide peace of mind. For more information get in touch.

Change of Plan... It's time to go Home

Who loves change? Who cannot deal with change? What do you do when you are faced with change? Is change good or bad?

Change is unbeatable. It's the most consistent thing in this world and in bloggosphere. And there is only one thing you can do to deal with it whether you like it or not - embrace it!
Everything's coming up roses today.

Yup, As you all know by now, I been through a lot of changes here. Things that somehow brought a little chaos in "this tool box" of mine. And yes, I am referring to my other blog Ruthi's breathingSpace which recently lost its domain because [auto-renew alert!]... you already guess it right, huh? But here is where "change' is coming. Are you ready for it?

I GOT MY RBS's DOMAIN BACK!

Oh Yeah, I am dancing in my smarty pants now.! Oh yeah, I am so happy right now! Oh yeah, RBS's Blog Series are so moving back now!LOL

Oh I feel awesome! I can't describe my happiness in just 2 words I had to blog about it. And yes, Auto-renew... this one is for you - boooyah!

Yes, I was able to figure out what to do with RBS and it is now back on bloggosphere from a short hiatus. And there is no one happier than this momma. So check it out HERE and you will know what I am talking about.

Thanks a lot ACWTB for babysitting RBS for awhile. It was indeed a great vacation. Now it's time to go home.

Another Blog Series alert?

I don't know about you... but I have the tendency to get carried away easily and quickly. Given the present preoccupation I have, [oh, oh, blog series ALERT!!!!] my mind is working non-stop about blogging and all its aspects. [oh, oh, totally new blog series ALERT!!!]

If you have noticed, I have inconsistently blogging since I started working full-time. And if ever I do blog, I would only post on 1 or 2 [out of the 7] blogs that I own and that caused my [oh, oh, auto-renew ALERT!!!] RBS's domain a big blow.

So yeah, now that my blogs are getting a major revamp there are some fixing that I need here and there. And with fixing comes creation of new things. Oh Yeah, when I am trying to fix something I usually end up creating new ones. And when I am trying to get rid of something I always end up acquiring new ones. It's a never-ending process for me. No wonder I am always tired. LOL.

Well, here is the thing. My mind won't stop thinking. Not because I lost one website doesn't mean I am stopping altogether, right?. I have 6 more left. hahahaha I need to blog.

So what do you think of another blog series?

I told you, it's hard to stop.

Well, I was thinking of creating a blog series that will showcase my... are you ready for this? Party Planning!

But first I need to come up with a LOGO. Oh yes, it's all about the logo, first and foremost... then comes the concept.

And that's how I roll!

Looking for Apartments? There’s an App for that!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of apartments.com for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

We were having lunch at work the other day when one of the teachers commented, “Nobody stays in the same place anymore”. At hindsight, I thought to myself, “It could be true.” For some reasons I was browsing for new apartments and houses for rent online for hours last weekend. I had no intention of moving [yet] but the thought of change I believe is inevitable and I myself am not exempted  from facing this reality one day.
This morning my co-worker confided that she is looking for a new apartment to move in. She and ex-husband are planning to sell the house they shared for the past 10 years and now that they are living their own separate ways she needs to move on and start all over again. Then I remember about the website where I was browsing for apartments at apartments.com.

For a non-computer geek like my co-worker, I told her how easy it is to navigate and search the website for new apartments. Looking for a dream home through this website is a no-brainer. It's user-friendly and can be searched by state or location, maximum rent amount, number of bedrooms, amenities, and other important stuff that home-lookers are looking for an ideal abode. And true to what I say, she just loves how important information is also provided for each complex which makes it easier for her to make important decision that she needs to make the move. And more importantly, she loves the “apps” where she can check updates on the available and new listings for rent on her iPhone and iPad.

 photo Apts_PrfctFit_rgbjpg_zpsf00a594a.jpg
As for myself, since I am not really looking for a new place just yet, but still I benefit from this website because it offers useful information and tips not only from finding the right apartment to landlord and lease issues but also from home decorating to housekeeping… from health to safety and from money to moving and settling in. The information I get from this website is enormous and phenomenal that is why I didn’t realized I was browsing the site for hours. It was an entirely new experience for me. That is why I follow it on tweeter so I can get updates on their new listings.

And knowing my friend… knowing that she loves this website… I bet she had already tweeted her apartment search experience and will soon be making a decision. And in no time, she will be moving in and moving on.

Hurricanes, Phone booths, and Facebook

I'm on vacation right now. After 5 years of being away from home. I finally got the chance to go back and visit my homeland. It was a little emotional but manageable. I was spared of all the drama due to some travel problems like flight cancellations, delays, phone booths, hurricanes, and facebook.
I supposed to leave on the 25th of June but my flight was delayed due to hurricane. Hubby brought me to the airport at about 9 am for my 12:45pm flight but it was delayed to 2:45pm due to hurricane. But since my  connecting flight to Hong Kong was at 3:45pm from Newark Airport, I had to ask for a change of flight schedule for the next day because there is no way I can make it on time.

So there I was stuck in the airport just 18 miles away from home. The next problem occurred when I realized there are no longer "phone booths" anywhere in the airport. Yes, phone booth is now a thing of the past. It's already extinct! I left my phone in the truck and there is no way I could call hubby to ask me to pick me up. A couple of people offered to use their phones but Hubby left his phone in the truck too. So there was no way to contact him or get hold of him until he got hold of his phone. hayyyy

Good thing I had my kindle fire with me and the only thing I can do is to go on facebook to shout "help" as my status on the wall. Soon enough help came. But I was already home cozily tucked in in bed when Hubby got the messages from different people I came across at FB who knew that I was stuck in the airport.

Caught Laughing-Out-Loud

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of American Family Insurance for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Oh I love weekend. Who doesn’t? Working 12 hours a day… the weekend is always a day to look forward to. The weekend is my chance to take my sweet time in front of the computer to do my online stuff and hoping that one of my brothers will pop up so we can catch up.

This weekend, while I was waiting for either one of them to get online, I browsed and surfed the net and accidentally came across some cool and funny videos by AmFam - Stand Up For Family. They are stand-up comedy videos by some talented comedians. I watched each one of them and I found myself laughing out loud. Those videos are hilarious. One of my favorites is Mark Viera’s “In the Window” where he talks about his Granny. It was entertaining and utterly funny. It reminded me of my own Grandmother who knew everybody and everybody’s business despite the fact that she is deft. LOL.

As I watched all the videos though I found them hysterical, I realized what these comedians are trying to say in a comical way what real family life is all about. It is all about family values. It is all about the importance of family. And it is all about the influence our family in our upbringing.

Old values compared to modern ones are basically rooted in family values. I can understand the importance of having a family and the uniqueness of the family I belong too. And it being put in a very entertaining way is something people can really appreciate especially in this tough situation where family relationship is faced with crisis and challenges.

I love stand-up comedy. And I love family comedy simply because I can relate to it. It is a great way to see my own situation through other people’s take on life and family situation. And American Family Insurance truly brought out the best in family values in a light and entertaining way.

I was carried away by all the videos and didn’t realize that Hubby was already home and watching me with a bewildered face. Well, to save my face from embarrassment I handed him our Chinese diner. End of the story. But I was still laughing [quietly].

It's Time to Move

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of PlayStation MOVE. All opinions are 100% mine.

I was at the electronic store the other day with my friends. My guy friend was looking for special software for his computer while my girl friend was browsing on the DVDs on sale. I, on the other hand, was checking one of the things on my wish list – a dslr camera.

Well, contrary to Hubby’s belief, [that I only like to spend time browsing items at Victoria’s Secret] I love browsing on electronics too… mostly, cameras, iPad, iPod Touch, iMac, 42 in. LED-LCD TV, and others. I was half way the DVD isle when I saw this PlayStation Move and boy, I was drooling… literally.

You see, we gifted Brandon a Wii on his 8th Birthday and I was jealous. Hahaha I wanted to get myself that Wii Fit but there is no way that I could get Brandon away from it unless I put him on time out. Wink** And so I was thinking of buying myself my own console when I saw this PS Move. Oh boy, it is way better. It is more innovative and more exciting to play on family game nights or even on those weekend hang outs with friends. And most importantly, it is way better to use for exercising especially with that easy-to-use controller.

Oh well, I finally decided that I will get one of those as a Christmas present for Hubby because he will surely love those hunting-shooting games. But then, on the hindsight, I will surely benefit from it more because I know he will not have the time to use it when I am on it. Hahaha

Oh BTW, if you have an exiting PlayStation®3 you can bring motion gaming for only $99 if you get yourself the MOVE bundle package. Isn’t the exciting?

For more information on the PS MOVE… read on:

Coupons Rock!

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Linens 'N Things. All opinions are 100% mine.

I love coupons. They are one of the best tools that a shopaholic needs to survive in this tough economy. They are one of the best things ever invented to help any shopaholic turn into wise shopper. And they are one of the most important reasons why any shopaholic doesn’t feel guilty for splurging. LOL

Well, I love coupons and I use them… when I don’t forget to bring them when I go shopping. Yeah, that is one problem that I need to deal with. I cut up lots of coupons from the newspapers and magazines but when it is time to go shopping I always forget to bring them so they just expire and become useless. But when it comes to online shopping, that is a different story. I never forget my coupons because I just need the code to enter in a box and I’m all set. I get the discount I deserve.

And speaking of coupons… As a SocialSpark blogger, I got a FREE SHIPPING coupons from Linens 'N Things. The coupon code is LNTFREE, which I am sharing with you my friends and which you can share with everyone you know. You can use this coupon code to get your free shipment of the items you buy from LNT.com. This is valid until the 15th of September, 2010.

Yep, I already did my online shopping for new beddings and bath towels. And I am planning to go shopping for my early Christmas gifts for my loved ones from LNT.com too. I love Lines N’ Things because they have a vast assortment of products that I like and today they have their Summer White Sale so I can get $10 off on my purchases of over $50. Good deal, huh?

Well, summer is almost over and fall will not last long. As soon as the last leaf falls, Christmas will be here. It’s time to go Christmas shopping and it’s time to check out LNT.com so you can get the best Christmas presents for a really great deal.

Make your Road Trip a Breeze

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of NAVTEQ. All opinions are 100% mine.

Time flies so quickly. And I am on a countdown. School will be over soon so it means that summer is just around the corner. It felt like summer already and we are taking advantage of the nice warm weather whenever possible. Just last Memorial weekend Hubby and I spent the long weekend up north camping. It was indeed nice to be out-of-town once in a while. Our brief vacation was almost perfect if only we knew where we were going.

Well, we were very confident when we left. I always have a check list for everything so I thought everything will be alright. We got the reservation of the campsite online and we programmed the direction on our GPS. And guess what. We got lost. We almost ran out of gas because we cannot find the nearest gas station. We cannot locate the closest restaurant to eat. And we spent the whole day in the car running around in circle instead of already relaxing at the campsite having a barbecue. That was all because our GPS gave us wrong directions. We didn’t realize that we need to update our navigator. Too bad I only found it out now when I stumble upon www.updateyourmap.com.

Here is some important and helpful information about updating your car-navigator:

NAVTEQ is the company whose technology and maps drive most of the in-car navigation systems and the leading brands of GPS-enabled devices in the U.S., so chances are yours is one of them.
Updating is easy, just go to this website and follow the drop-down menus which correspond to the built-in system or portable device. Installing updated navigation maps takes just minutes, but can save hours, fuel and the frustration of getting lost or being late. Mom’s taxi service has to stay on schedule and stick to a budget!
With the newest and best alternate routes received with your map update, you’ll be able to find a route around traffic so you can get to your destination on time! Because there are more than 100,000 points of interest updated, you’ll find the most convenient gas stations, ATMs or restaurants along the way.

Talking about stress-free vacation and road trips, you’re never go wrong or get lost with an updated GPS. So, start with having your car-navigator updated. Check out www.updateyourmap.com now to make sure that your next trip will be a breeze. Take if from me… I am speaking from experience.

I speak French!

I can speak French! Sort of. Well, check out my previous post to read the proof. hahahaha.

Cool huh? No, it was an aided post. I mean, I composed the post first in the English Language then, I used an automatic translator program that I found in the internet [more specifically called Yahoo Babel Fish]... and viola! It was really cool.

The only problem is that... I'm not sure if it translates in the correct French Grammar too since I am not even sure if my English grammar is correct. hahahaha

An Achievement at your Fingertips

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of USC. All opinions are 100% mine.

I have been out-of-school for almost 3 years now. As a teacher I miss the classroom. But education per se has evolved dramatically over the years. Today, education is no longer confined in the 4 corners of the classroom. The standard and more traditional school set-up is already a “thing” of the past. Today, online schooling is getting more popular among students. Why not? Getting a degree online is more practical than going to a regular school because your classroom is in your fingertips… quite literally and figuratively. So if you are thinking of earning your Master’s Degree in Teaching, check out some of the program information of USC Rossier School of Education’s MAT@USC and find out about their accelerated program which you can complete in as little as 12 months and where you can gain field-based experiences in your own local area.

Beauty Sleep

There is nothing more relaxing than crawling in my bed and taking a long nap in the middle of the day. I am allergic to bed, okay? Yes, I fall asleep right away when I see my bed. So I guess it is an allergy. LOL

My bed is the most important thing in my house… errrrr… second most important thing in my house… [because my computer is the first] so I value it.

Normally, I'm already up at 4 in the morning because I need to be at work by quarter to six. So you could imagine how early I need to get up and prepare for work. And I don’t go to bed until 11 PM because I do other important things at night too [e.g. multi-tasking – translation: facebooking, blogging, chatting with friends, and watching TV]. But I am already off from work by 9 AM and will not be back till quarter to two for the second shift. So I have 5 hours to kill in between… and there is nothing more logical thing to do but to take my beauty sleep.

Beauty sleep was not that fun a few months ago. It was more comfortable only when I got myself some hypoallergenic mattress covers. Well, I am not really allergic to bed but bed mites. Who isn’t anyway? And guess who is having more sleeping time and feeling more comfortable in my bed now? Yes, Hubby is.

Video games is today's everybody's game. Kids and kids-at-heart are drawn to video games. It's very amusing that is why it is very popular nowadays. So if your kids are into video games go check out BuyMMOAccounts.com where you can buy world of warcraft subscription for only $29.99 which is good for 60 days.

The First Time Ever…

I got this tag from my ever faithful and loyal “tagger” Rechie and it’s only now that I found the time to do this one. Trust me there are lots of tags that I could post here and I want to do them all, I just can’t find the time. Now that I am running out of interim I am doing one now.

This tag is about your "beloved". How you met each other. And what you want the world to know about him. And I am passing the tag to my friends whose love stories are worth knowing too... Vienna of ViennaLopez.com; Francine of La Place de Cherie… Nice of The Will of the Wind; Carlota of Dashing Smile; Karen of Karen & Gerard Zemek; Jade of Life of a Pinay Blogger; and Juliana of Pinay WAHM.

Here are the simple rules:
1. Pick your sweetest picture together when you were still friends and post it on top of the questions and answers.
2. Then post another picture of you together as a sweet couple after the questions. [or if you want post whatever photo you want to share with us, like in my case.]
3. Share or tag your friends whose love story is worth telling.
4. Enjoy doing it.
5. Let your hubby read it too.

Can you remember the day you first met your hubby? Yes, who could ever forget the first time?

When was that? I met him January 21st of 2006… online. I was chatting with some friends and he popped up out of nowhere and introduced himself. He said he was lonely because his fiancé just died of cancer. He needed a friend that time… and I was the only one who entertained him and gave him a crying shoulder.

First impression? I thought he was nice. He was very honest right from the very start. I never thought that he was a prospective husband because I had a French bf that time too.

Were you friends before he became your boyfriend? Yes, we became good friends. I helped him with his problems. He came to me for good advise.

What was the sweetest thing he did for you? He did the “panunuyo” Filipino style. He did some Filipino courtship custom [sort of] like… fetching bucket of water for my bath… installed clothesline for my laundry to hang… painted my windows… fixed my door lock; my brother's door; and my sink.

What are the things about him that you are thankful for? I am thankful that I finally met him. I have been waiting for him all my life. And I am grateful that I know how much he loves me.

One Unbeatable Deal

Getting the right auto insurance is as tricky as getting the right vehicle. It is as challenging as choosing the right vehicle that caters to one’s lifestyle or work. It is also a difficult decision to make especially in this struggling economy. Auto insurance is a necessity as the vehicle itself. There is no way that you would drive a car or a truck or a van without insurance. There is no way you will be able to go around without the security of knowing that your vehicle is insured. And there is no way you will drive safely without the “peace of mind” that you get from insured vehicle.

Getting auto insurance nowadays is easy as ABCs. You can get it in a snap online. And there are lots of auto insurance websites that you can find online. But finding the best auto insurance company is as tricky too. One Auto Insurance that can give the best deal and an excellent customer service is Autonet Insurance Group, which is a leading reputable insurance company that provides high quality insurance services and products. They offer the best, unbeatable and guaranteed van insurance that vehicle owner can trust.

Getting auto insurance from Autonet Insurance Group is easy… just call 0800-021-7333 and you can get the most competitive and exclusive rates that you deserve. They can even work it out to give you extra discount so you can save [money for gas] and have the peace of mind you need in this hard time.
