Maine Winter Survival Kit

My baby brother is coming to Maine. Yup, this is Japol's first trip to the U.S. and of all seasons he chose to come in the middle of this brutally long and cold winter in New England.

So, as a good sistah, I made preparations. I need to get all the stuff he needs to survive winter in Maine. Oh boy, if only I can write about my whole feeling... it would be too graphic. Well, yes I am exaggerating. Anyway, I gathered all the necessary stuff that he needs and here they are...
I got him a face mask (the Ninja style) to cover his face from the harsh wind. A hat to cover his newly shaved head. (I told him to not shave his head so that he could have some hair to protect him from cold... but did he listen? Of course not!) A pair of gloves for his hands. A fleece scarf. An ear muff. And 3 pairs of wool socks. These are all necessary to keep him warm.

I also got him layering shirts to keep his body warm too. He is hoping to go skiing and snowboarding so we'll see if he can manage the cold.
Then I got him a couple of fleece sweatshirts and...
a Goose Down coat.
Plus, this Snuggle Fleece blanket.
And these ultimate Maine Winter Survival Kit composed of a. Hands and Toes Warmers, b. Sinus steam herb, c. Carmex Lip Balm, d. Pomelo (it has nothing to do with Maine but it's his favorite fruit), e. Fox Potato Chips (Maine made chips), f. Moxie (Maine's official Soda), g. Tom's Toothpaste (the Official toothpaste of Maine LOL) and yes, h. Whoopie Pie.

So I was all set to pick him up from the airport yesterday when all of a sudden it started snowing when I was doing my last round of grocery shopping and lo and behold, his flight was cancelled and he was stuck in Chicago. I was in total panic because this is first trip to the U.S. And O'Hare Airport is huge. It's winter and he has no thick jacket. And he doesn't know anybody in Chicago. So I thought.

But guess what? I found out in Facebook that as soon as he rescheduled his flight to Maine, he called his friend and he was already out PARTYING! And this is his latest profile picture in FB.  Grrrrrr!!!!
I swear to "gods of Facebook" I'm gonna kill him. LOL So, the moral of the story... gathering all those stuff for winter survival in Maine for him is a huge waste of time. Oh he should be glad that I love him to pieces because I would really BLOCK him in Facebook.
