The Happy Hunter

Hubby is an avid deer hunter. He loves his rifles [the real ones], his bow and arrows, his ATV, his hunting gear and clothes and all his hunting trophies [those deer heads that he had stuffed, he has 3 of them]. He takes care of all his hunting stuff. But for some reason he lost his binocular. He needs it when he goes hunting. It is one of the essential hunting gears that a hunter must have.

While surfing the net I found this Nikon ATB Promotion and told him about it. He was happy about it and got himself a new binocular. And he is more than happy too because he also got 50$ value of promotional gift-card from Nikon ProGear which he could use to get other hunting gears that he likes for free.

So if your hubby is a hunter too, go tell him about this because I know, when Hubby is happy… wifey is happy too.

Christmas in the Air

They started playing Christmas songs on TV now. I know, Halloween is just a couple of days away and Thanksgiving is way too early to think about turkey at this time. But Christmas songs are all over the airwave already and I can’t help but think about it.

It has been snowing in the mountain last week so perhaps that gave the idea that it’s almost Christmas now so playing Christmas Carol is a-ok. But I am not really surprised. From where I came from, we celebrate Christmas season as early as September so Christmas carols in October is already a bit late now.

Yes, back in the Philippines, I remember that once the calendar turns to “BER” months [SeptemBER, OctoBER, NovemBER and DecemBER]… it is Christmas time. And once it’s BERmonths… all stores and some house would be decked in festive decorations.

I have not seen any Christmas decors around here yet but I am sure, based on my observation… that once the Halloween is over… Christmas decors will be taking over those racks and displays boxes in all those stores around here.

Security Blanket

A security blanket is something that can make you feel good, comfy and happy. You sense a certain degree of ease when you are wearing one. You feel a special kind of assurance when you are having one. And you believe that you feel at home and at peace just knowing you got one. But not all security blanket is actually a blanket and I know that you all know that.

When I left home to be with the LOML [love of my life], I brought with me some of my favorite stuff like my favorite shoes and of course, my old lime green flip-flops which was given to me by my youngest brother as Christmas gift. I love wearing them and I feel good wearing them. They reminded me a lot of good times and happy memories I had with my brothers during the last days I spent in our hometown. I was wearing them all the time going… to the river where we frequented to take a swim… to the market where we buy my favorite delicacies… to the church when we attended religious services… to the plaza where we stroll around town… to almost everywhere.

When I came here to Maine, that flip-flops became my security blanket because I always feel home when I am wearing them. There was a time during winter last year that I felt so homesick and longing for home. I was about to cry but when I saw my flip-flops, it made me smile. I took them and wore them and I ran in the snow. It was crazy but I felt good despite the cold.

Multi-Tasking 101

I got mixed up with my blogging and chores. Before, chores are my main preoccupation and blogging is my hobby. Now that I am doing a-ok with my blogging and turn it into something more productive, it is now my main occupation and chores turned out to be my hobby.

Good thing about hobby is that… you don’t have to do it all the time. You don’t need to feel guilty when you do not do it. And you are not even accountable when you don’t do it at all. With blogging, you are bound to a greater responsibility. You are expected to do your best to get your ideas across. And you are even predictably all over the computer and the internet than you are all over the kitchen and your monumental laundry.

Mixing business with pleasure is good at times if your business is blogging and your pleasure is chores. But if you interchange the two, you are screwed up. You either end up as a burnt-out blogger or a harassed homemaker. I don’t say that you do blogging as seriously as I am. Actually I am only exaggerating here. I find joy in doing both. And since I am a multi-tasker, I do both blogging and chores at the same time [but only on those chores that you can leave without supervision like laundry and dish-washing]. I don’ know but if you are a SAHW like me, you need to innovate. You need to improvise. You need to do something creative so that you will not die of boredom.

Shopping for Tools is Fun Too

I love shopping. Who doesn’t? It may be strange but I enjoy shopping with Hubby. Shopping for carpentry materials and tools, that’s what I mean. I didn’t like it at first though, but since I am not too busy and since I learned how to drive, personal driver is now added to my job description. So I have no choice but to go with Hubby to the construction stores. I didn’t like it at first but eventually I enjoyed going with Hubby picking up construction materials. I learned a bit about them too because I am also his personal secretary cum budget officer.

The other day he needed some wood drill bits and I found them at Onsrud.com. Onsrud.com is the world’s leading manufacturer of router bits which was invented in 1920 by its founder Oscar Onsrud. Today, they produce high quality drill bits for all types of building materials like wood, plastic, composite and metal. Their plastic drill bits are among the most versatile designed products they supply.

One good thing about shopping online is that, I only need my mouse to do the job and I don’t have to drive down the store to buy and pick up the materials. With Onsrud.com, shopping is a breeze and delivery is fast.

Laundry Mishap

It’s raining out today. It’s snowing up in the mountain. And it’s licking water in the washer. We got a new front-loader. The old washer died on me a couple of months so we got a new washer. It is a nice washer. It is more expensive though but more efficient and more energy saver. It requires more expensive laundry soap [the HE kinda soap which stands for High Efficiency] but it is more economical because you don’t need a lot to wash a lot of load. It doesn’t need lots of water so our well never runs dry anymore. It is quieter so I usually forget to transfer the washed laundry to the dryer.

This morning, the cellar is flooded in water. The washer is leaking somewhere and I don’t know why. I don’t know where. And I don’t know how. I don’t want to rant about it so I called Hubby from work and told him about it. So for now, I don’t want to deal with the washer nor the laundry. I don't go romancing the laundry no more. The laundry can wait… blogging can’t.

Advertisers Haven

I have been blogging for over 2 years now. At first it was only for fun. I love writing and I want to read what I wrote. Then blogging stormed cyber-heaven like an angry hurricane, I was swayed that way too. Now I have 9 blogs and counting.

And since I am a certified SAHW [stay-at-home-wife] I learned how to earn extra income from blogging to help Hubby pay our bills. I learned about social media marketing when one blogger told me about PPP and Social Park. These two are the best venues for advertisers to get their products reviewed and advertised.

Bloggers give their expert opinions on products and relate personal experiences of the products through their blogs. This is now the most effective and efficient way of advertising because a lot of people are now turning to the internet for almost everything they need. So what are you waiting for advertisers? Go to Izea.com and get your products advertised by the consumers themselves.

Monday Blues

It’s another Monday. I don’t like Monday. But I love the song … I don’t like Monday. It’s the start of the week and everybody is busy and will be out of the house except me. I made Hubby his favorite breakfast… ham and cheese omelet. Did I tell you that I sealed the deal with my Hubby with my famous “ham and cheese omelet”? Oh well, now you know. Hubby is not a fussy eater so I guess he was just telling me that he fell in love with my omelet to make feel good about my cooking.

It’s another Monday and I still feel sleepy and wanted to stay in bed quite a bit. But I can’t. Hubby has to go to work and Brandon has to go to school. I did my duty as a devoted wife and a good step-mother. When everybody is gone, I went back to the kitchen and fixed myself a breakfast… sat in front of the computer and started blogging. So what else is new?

It’s another Monday and I will be waiting for the weekend day after day. And I will whine about routine until the next Monday again. Life is a breeze, ain’t it?

Of Apples and Deer

This morning [while waiting for the school bus] Brandon and I went outback again to scatter apples on the ground. We have been doing it for almost 3 weeks now. Hubby brought home bags of apples for the deer. But we can share the apples too just have to choose the good ones. I usually have apples for breakfast and chop them to go with my cereals.

This morning we still found some of those apples that we put there the other day. They are still there untouched. It is indicative that the deer have not been there for a while. It is conclusive that the deer are not roaming outback like they used to. It is a proof that they know it is hunting season so they stay away from places where they know they will get in trouble. And they don't wanna end up as one of Hubby's trophies. Hahahaha.

Pumpkin Culture Shock

Pumpkin season is here again. I love this season because everything burst in color. I find it very magical. My “pumpkin culture shock”, on the other hand, is the only thing here in Maine I didn't find hard to deal with. I got used to it as quickly as I finished a whole pumpkin pie the first time I was offered with one. It’s something different. We don’t have pumpkin pie in the Philippines. It was the first time I ever tasted it and I fell instantly in love with it too.

And since pumpkins in all sizes and shapes are all over the place I know that Brandon is so excited as early as now and can’t wait for the upcoming and most important event in his life – Halloween. Brandon was walking around with a huge and heavy painted pumpkin around the house the other day that his Nana gave him and as expected, he talks nothing but Halloween and that will be that way, till it’s over.

Make Your MIL Happy this Christmas

I usually shop early for Christmas gifts. I don’t know about you but when it comes to presents, I always have a hard time thinking of a special gift to a special someone… my mother-in-law, that is. But this year, that will now be a breeze. I already found a gift for her and it’s already on the mail. I found this Cashmereloom.com online where they sold handmade cashmere blankets made of natural fiber. They have lots of nice items to choose from and all are made of high quality hand woven cashmere by the natives of Nepal like throws, scarves and baby blankets.

Housewives, if you want to have a good relationship with your MIL, trust me, you won’t get wrong with cashmere. And when you buy one from Cashmereloom.com you don’t only help yourself with your relationship with your MIL but help the environment too because every cashmere blanket you buy from them, they pledged to contribute Trees for the Future.

Happy Customers

From where I came from, a car is a luxury. Only the rich people have cars. And for the rest of us who can hardly make both ends meet, we have lots of options to get around. When I came here in Maine, means of transportation was my main problem. Everything here is so far and I need a car to get me to places.

My Filipina friend in North Carolina had the same problem when she got here in the US. The first thing she did was to look for a reliable used car dealers Wilmington NC. Good thing she was able to find BruceCavenaugh.com online, the company that offers the largest inventory of pre-owned vehicles in NC. She got her first car from Bruce and after 5 years she is planning to buy a new one again from him because she likes how Bruce treated his customers… like a family and friend. She has the most comfortable experience buying car from Bruce since it was the very first time she ever bought a car.

Between eyeglasses and headache

They say that eyeglasses is a sign of old age just like my graying hair. Oh well, what can I say? It could be true because I cannot read without my eyeglasses.

I broke my eyeglasses a couple of months back. That was my only pair of eyeglasses which I brought with me from the Philippines. Hubby bought if for me when he went to the Philippines. He ordered 2 pairs of eyeglasses [1 for him and the other 1 for me]. He paid roughly $100 for the 2 pairs of glasses which included the eye check-up because we ordered prescription eyeglasses [bi-focal lenses for Hubby and reading glasses for me]

Since I broke my eyeglasses I use Hubby’s old glasses which he bought from Walmart years ago out from the rack. I was ok with that but apparently I am having problems with headache lately so I figured it may be caused by the wrong eyeglasses. So Hubby brought me to Walmart to have my eye checked and to get prescription glasses too.

I do need eyeglasses. That is why I had to pay $95 for eye check up alone… $95 for the lenses… and another $95 for the frames. Now you do the math. Now that I have a new pair of eyeglasses, it seems that my headache gets worse not because I got the wrong eyeglasses but because I paid a lot for a new pair of eyeglasses.

Between Safe Bathing and Awesome Scenery

Hubby is now working on a new project in New Hampshire. His client is a retired couple who are both diabetics. One special request that they asked my husband to do with their new home was to make a nice bathroom for them where they can see the White Mountains while they are soaking on the tub. And since they both find it hard to go in the tub without the fear of slipping or having an accident they specifically mentioned that they want to have one of those walkin tubs installed instead of a regular tub.

As usual, Hubby asked me to search online for walk in tubs and RemainActive.com is the company that provides an exclusive line of walk in tubs, the Hydro-Elite Bath Tub Series. Their walk-in tubs are specially designed to give comfort, safety and ease of use because they come with low 6-step doorsills and safely bars that give user peace of mind.

Hubby had their tub delivered and it was strategically positioned in the couple’s Master Bathroom where he also placed a huge window where they can see the outdoor scenery of the White Mountains.

Marriage by definition

I was in the mood for laughter since yesterday. After all the previous ranting and whining that took-over my otherwise and supposedly good week, I finally decided that I need some “happy thoughts” for a change so that I will surely have a pleasant weekends.

And when I think about “happy thoughts” there is one thing that I usually do. I go to my old e-mails that I kept on my “laughter folder” and read them again so I can have a good laugh.

And here is what I found. I had this email before I got married and totally forgot all about it until now. I read it again and now it all makes sense to me more than the first time I read it because I can very much relate to it now than when I was still single. And of course I want to share these important and funny anecdotes about marriage so you too can have a good happy reflections. Some of you may already read it before or somewhere but still, I believe that you can still have fun reading it.

Here you go and may you have a good laugh.

What is Marriage?

1. Marriage is not a word. It's a sentence (a life sentence).
2. Marriage is love. Love is blind. Therefore marriage is an institution for the blind.
3. Marriage is an institution in which a man loses his Bachelor's Degree and the woman gets her Masters.
4. Marriage is a three ring circus: engagement ring, wedding ring and suffering.
5. Married life is full of excitement and frustration: In the first year of marriage, the man speaks and the woman listens. In the second year, the woman speaks and the aan listens. In the third year, they both speak and the NEIGHBOURS listen.
6. Getting married is very much like going to a restaurant with friends. You order what you want, and then you see what the other person has, you wish you had ordered that instead.
7. Son: How much does it cost to get married, Dad? Father: I don't know son, I'm still paying for it.
8. Son: Is it true Dad? I heard that in ancient China, a man doesn't know his wife until he marries her. Father: That happens everywhere, son, EVERYWHERE!
9. Love is one long sweet dream, and marriage is the alarm clock.
10. They say that when a man holds a woman's hand before marriage, it is love; after marriage it is self-defense.
11. When a newly married man looks happy, we know why. But when a 10-year married man looks happy, we wonder why.
12. Eighty percent of married man cheat in America, the rest cheat in Europe.
13. After marriage, husband and wife become two sides of a coin. They just can't face each other, but still they stay together.
14. Before marriage, a man 'yearns' for the woman he loves. After the marriage the "Y" becomes silent.
15. It's not true that married men live longer than single men, it only seems longer.
16. When a man opens the door of his car for his wife, you can be sure of one thing - either the car is new or the wife is.
17. When married is base on trust, friendship, honesty, kindness and comradeship - you will be together until death and the next life in loved.

We sometimes do need some fun or make fun of things to spice them up. Marriage is a work-out and we need to build strong muscles to be able to stay strong and firm. We don't have technical support to operate our husbands but knowing how to handle good or bad situation is a good option. Having some happy thoughts surely do some magic to it.

No More Alibis

My friend was complaining to me about chores. You know housewives… we always complain and we need someone to listen to our complaints because our Hubbies are already numbed by our complaining dispositions and no longer give any reaction… so it is no longer fun complaining that is why we need another person who is equally expert on that department. Hahahaha.

Anyway, she was complaining about football. Sounds familiar? Yes, I can relate to it. She said that she cannot ask her husband or her eldest son to help him with errands or simple things to do around the house. Their alibi – football! They can’t miss any single game or sports news about football. And she was fed up. So she asked my expert opinion on football. My advice… Clear365.com and she did just want I taught her. Now every time that her husband or son will use the word “football” as an alibi to avoid chores or errand… she will say… “Football can wait… I can’t!”

And why not? With just a click of the mouse the Latest Football News can be accessed through Clear365.com. This cool website provides the Latest Sports News and even the College Football Rankings so her husband and her son can no longer use football as an alibi.

With Clear365.com… it's football time, anytime… and no more alibis.

When Will I Stop?

There are times that I am feeling crafty. The only problem with me that I easily lost interest with what ever project I would start. That is why, there are lots of projects that I started that are now accumulating dust somewhere in every nook and cranny of the cellar.

I once got interested in beadings. I made lots of fashion accessories made of beads. I bought a lot of beads and other beading materials thinking that I will come up with a business out of it. Then I realized there are lots of people who are into it and who make better accessories than I do so I stopped.

Then my friends started doing some crocheted stuff and since I know a bit about crochet I also did that. I bought a lot of thread, hooks and patterns and thought of doing lots of stuff for the craft fair. I did finished one project which is a two-piece bathing suit which I gave to my step-daughter as a birthday gift. But then I realized to that my work was not as good as my friend’s so I stopped.

Now, I started doing digital scrapbooking which I learned through blogging and did self-study and experimentation. I bought some software on digital scrapbooking and downloaded more from the internet. I did some little stuff and even started a new blog called scrappy thingy just to publish my finished work. Now, I realized that some people’s works are also better than mine so I stopped.

Oh well, maybe someday I will surely have the burning desire to do something without stopping. And when that time comes, I will not stop until I am done.

The Hottest News in Cybertown

I am online almost 10 hours a day, everyday. I do a lot of blogging. I do a lot of researching and googling online to read important information about a lot of things. I do a lot of internet surfing and browsing to know significant knowledge on the things I write or simply finding a good recipe for our supper. So I am kinda a little [if you can call that as such] dependent on the internet for almost everything except doing the laundry, the dishes and of course, cooking the supper.

And when it comes to News, I also surf it online. It’s more convenient to me because I don’t need to wait till 5pm to tune in to the local News on TV to know what’s going on in my neck of the woods. With the aid of the internet I simple click Clear365.com to get to their Online News Portal and presto… the freshest news I get. And when it comes to entertainment, which I know a lot of stay-at-home wives like are addicted to, I just go to their Entertainment Portal. But of course, they also have the hottest Celebrity Gossip News so I don’t really need to leave my computer to get what I need except when I have to go to the bathroom or load and unload my laundry to and from the washer to the dryer.

My Crowing Glory is Turning Gray

I looked in the mirror just I always do in the morning. I always look in the mirror especially this part of the year when the weather is chilly and when the temperature dives to freezing point. I always look in the mirror to check on my face for possible breakouts or dry spots. My skin is not compatible to cold weather here in Maine. It is always dehydrated and flaky. That is why I need to get artificial help from my handy jars and bottles of moisturizer and body lotion to rehydrate my skin.

This morning I looked in the mirror and I freaked out. I know it is there. It is always there even when I was still in the Philippines. I am very much aware of its presence and there were times that I will make a drastic move to get rid of it. I would succeed but eventually after sometime it will be back… with vengeance!

This morning I looked in the mirror and to my horror, it is not alone. Now there are two of them sticking out so proudly side by side. But wait… there are more on the other side too. Yes, more on the other side and they are more prominent.

This morning I looked in the mirror and I have to accept the fact that my hair is turning gray. There is not much I can do now but to think of a nice shade of color that will match the shade of my eyes. I’m gonna have my hair dyed.

Someone on Your Side

I am new in this country. And so far I have very little knowledge of my rights as a citizen. I am still considered as an “Alien” which they refer to as an “immigrant” from another country. And in that case, I surely have limited rights. However, I know that I do have rights as a human being even if I am not a yet a US citizen.

So when it comes to law and order, I guess the old cliché “ignorance of the law excuses no one” is meant to tell people to know their rights. Most of the time people can fall victims of wrong accusations simply because other people can take advantage of them. Therefore, you should know your rights no matter how simple they are because it will surely save you from making big mistakes. And if you commit a crime as simple as speeding ticket, you should talk to a professional who knows how to handle your case and what options available to you.

And when it comes to rights, crimes and options, WilliamFay.com is just a click away. The Law Offices of William Fay is well-known for its felony attorney Raleigh and criminal defense Raleigh because they have the best people in the job. They have represented thousands of clients in DUI, DWI, Traffic Tickets and Criminal Defense. And for immigrants like me also handledcases on Immigration Law Raleigh and helped a lot of immigrants who otherwise have limited knowledge of their rights.

So don’t be innocent. Know your rights. Know someone who can help you fight for your rights. And with William Fay, you know you have someone on your side.

Improvised Curb

I practice my backing everyday. I need to. I desperately want to pass my driving test the third time I will take it. I am already tired of going to DMV and torturing myself with anxiety and possible nervous breakdown. Hahahaha. Just kidding.

So, I have to practice hard and I have to practice religiously. But there is a problem. There is no safe road where I could practice my backing. There is no street-less-travelled nearby where I could practice backing up. And there is no curb in our driveway too. So how will I know that I am backing up straight and not backing up to the traffic? I improvised.

I laid all those slabs of woods that Hubby is using as staging for his carpentry work on the ground and there you go… I have my curb. What a brilliant idea!

Vacation Mishap No More

Hubby and I spent our first wedding anniversary in Nova Scotia, Canada last July. We had wonderful memories of our first wedding anniversary. It was such a nice experience except for one thing… we were not satisfied with the accommodation we got from the hotel where I booked in. You see, I only found this resort in the internet and I was attracted with their website, the photos and the write-ups. They got a good package that I thought I was getting a good deal.

That serves a good lesson for me. If only I found Rentalo.com months earlier then, everything would have been just perfect. Rentalo.com is an online travel directory where you can find listings for vacation rentals, hotels and even bed and breakfasts. They also provide exclusive deals from hotels, inns, apartments and condos in tens of thousands of destinations all over the world. And one important aspect of their service is that travelers can send inquiries to the location where they are planning to go and they can receive competitive offers from property owners from that destination. So how cool is that? At least you will know that you are really getting the real deal.

Next summer, Hubby and I are planning to go to South Lake Tahoe because we love the outdoors. We plan to spend more time hiking or kayaking or fishing in the lake. And for that next vacation, I will surely be checking on Rentalo.com to get the real deal we deserve.

In The Business of Doing Your Business

We cannot live without technology anymore. And no matter what some people say, going back to the basic is entirely more confusing… more complicated… and more exhausting. We deal with technology from the time we open our eyes till the time we need to close them. Technology… technology… technology… why art thou? Hahahaha

Oh well, if you are into business, [no matter how big or small it is] I bet you use technology to facilitate and manage it. Frozen Delight: Red Car Flavor

I woke up this morning a bit early because Hubby is leaving early for his work in New Hampshire. It was freezing so I kept my booties on. Good thing I already brought out all our fall/winter totes and did a little closet organizing over the weekends.

I haven’t done my groceries yet so I am scheduled to do it today together with my other errands programmed for today like… depositing money to the bank and mailing some letters [my request for [yet another] re-exam for driving test… survey form for Brandon’s case management provider… and bunch of questionnaires for Brandon’s psychological evaluation which is scheduled on November].

From my bedroom window I can already see that the backyard was covered with frost. It was way too early but God forbids… hope it will not snow soon. I already saw in the news that Montana had 4 inches of snow last week and Halloween is still couple of weeks ahead. Oh well, you cannot stop Mother Nature so I can only pray for good weather.

As I approached my car, I saw my poor baby covered in frost too. So I need to thaw it first before I could drive it down the road.

Early morning frost.

My frosted car window.

A frosted windshield.

Red car frozen delight.

The Carpenter’s Wife’s Department

Hubby is finally done with his recent project at York County. He is now working on the next one in New Hampshire. He has been a carpenter for more than 15 years and I know he loves his job so much. He knows everything about carpentry but when it comes to furnishings… that is my department. Well, what do you expect? He is only into building houses and leaves everything about maintaining the house to me.

That is why when some of his clients would ask something about home furnishing, he would turn to me for some advice because he knows that I know a little about it. Good thing I know a cool website where to find Home Improvement Tools that can give great and helpful ideas on home improvement. But GrowersandNomands.com does not only provide information and articles about home furnishings. They also provide important and relevant information that Hubby can use in building and designing houses. Through this website you can ask their growers and nomads team everything about home designing, building, intelligent living, and other topics relevant to home and home improvement.

The growers and nomads people are expert in providing advise on all your home improvement queries that is why Hubby also love this website because it helps him with his trade. So if you are thinking of home improvement, try to browse on GrowersandNomads.com first or better yet join their community so you can get the help you need from other people who are willing to help.

That damn driving test

I flunked my driving test today. This is indeed not a mainly good season for me. I screwed up the driving test for the second time and I am not it the best of my mood again today. My tears fell instantaneously as I saw Hubby walked out of the DMV building towards my car. He already knew by the way he found me that I flunked the test again. And all he said was… "there will be another time". But I don’t want another time. I want my license now. But that doesn’t gonna happen because I flunked that damn driving test again.

I flunked my driving test today. I flunked because I wasn’t able to back up straight. I wasn’t able to do the backing again just like the first time. I also flunked the test because I almost has a collision with another car in the intersection as I was about to turn left. I needed to change lane and I had to look over my left shoulder to make sure that there was no car coming so I can change lane. When I look in front of me there was this car that was not in the right lane and it was too late for me to see it. My bad, so I flunked that damn driving test again.

I don’t wanna flunk another driving test. I’m tired of taking the test in fact. So maybe I will not take anymore driving test. Screw up driving tests. I’ll just stay home and blog till I die. But… I want to have my driver’s license. I badly need my driver’s license. So I am mailing the request form again to get a new schedule for my “third” damn driving test.

Good Popping Gift Idea

Brandon loves popcorn. Hubby loves popcorn especially on Football nights. I love popcorn too because it is one of the healthiest snacks. Given that premise, you can therefore conclude that I always keep ample supply of popcorns in the house. Yep. I always do.

But for special occasions like this coming Halloween, I prefer to give popcorns for my cute “trick or treaters”. I prefer to give them popcorn in those cute “boo” decorated tin cans or pumpkin baskets because they are unique. I prefer to give away popcorns than candies and chocolate bars because I don’t want them to complain about toothache the following day. And those cute kids in wacky costumes love my special popcorn too not only because of the packaging but because of the taste of the popcorn which are made from the finest quality corn kernels and quality ingredients.

But do you know that you can also give popcorn as gifts for other special occasions. I mean gift… as in gift-gift. Popcorn gifts are unique gift ideas from The Popcorn Factory that are specially designed for popcorn lovers. You can even order them in personalized tin cans with your own photo and message to make it more special for the person you are giving it.

So think about it. When you are running out of good ideas for gifts… this is one idea that will surely pop, literally.

I badly need a driver’s license

My driving test is just two days away. I am nervous again. This is the second time that I will take the actual driving test [because I failed the first one]… and nothing drives me crazy like this test, literally speaking.

I badly need a driver’s license. This place where I live now is only accessible by private cars. Too bad that is the only means of transportation here. There are no public buses or taxis that you can see. Much less, there are no jeepneys… or tricycles… or pedicabs around [like in the Philippines] that I can hire to bring me to places.

I badly need a driver’s license. The nearest store in our home is 3 miles away. I tried to walk up there one time when I was not in the best of my mood and had a little squabble with Hubby but I wasn’t able to walk back home because I was already tired. I ended up calling Hubby to pick me up and that "call" gave him a chance to laugh at my foolishness.

I badly need a driver’s license. If I want to get a “real” job I need a driver’s license because that’s the first thing they ask when you apply for a job. Of course, they want to make sure that you can come to work regularly to avoid tardiness or worse... absenteeism.

I badly need a driver’s license. I am already sick of staying at home and I want to explore other territories aside from the four corners of my house. So… please pray for me that I will pass my driving test.

I am a Bag lady

I am a bag lady. Yes, I had to admit that I am crazy over bags… purses… pocketbooks [that’s what they call that here in the US for reason I don’t know why]. I have a huge collection of bags in all colors, shapes and sizes. I have bags for different occasions and for different moods. Bags are my babies [aside from my blogs]. I am a bag sucker and I am proud of it.

I am a bag lady. And Yes, I can’t get enough of bags. The word “enough” doesn’t exist if we are talking about bags.

So let’s talk about bags.

When it comes to bags… I know just where to get it. There is a special place where you can find a large selection of the hottest designers’ bags where you don’t have to fight with other women who like you… are equally crazy about bags. A special place where you can find amazing stocks of bags that offers a unique style, an unparalleled elegance and the newest trend. A place you call PlatinumTrunk.com is an online store where you can find the hottest and trendiest designers’ bags in the cyber-mall.

Browsing led me to discover Rebecca Minkoff handbags and instantly I fell in love with Rebecca at first sight of her bag collection. I fell in love with her Rendez Vous Clutch because of its simple yet elegant style and craftsmanship.

I am a bag lady. And what does a bag lady do when she sees a bag? Yes, your guess is as good as mine. So check out you bag ladies out there this cool website and fall in love again for the Nth time… with the "bag", that is.

Missing Hubby’s Snore

Hubby did not come home the other night. He spent the night at his new project site in New Hampshire. It was the very first time [since we got married in July of 2007] that I slept on our bed – alone. I never realized it was hard to sleep without him by my side. I was kinda used to his snoring and for some strange reason I have to admit, his snore makes me fall asleep.

So I was awake the whole night because I can’t hear him snore. Now I understand what he meant when he said… I can’t sleep… when one time I attempted to sleep in the other bedroom because he pissed me off over something I can’t even remember now. Now I understand why he can’t sleep, if I was not beside him despite the fact that he is always bitching about my snoring too. Now I understand why couples are such crazy people.
