On Keeping a Secret

Yesterday, I brought Brandon to town for his appointment with Dr. Ellen. It was a Monday. I hate Monday but I have no choice. It was his second and last session for his evaluation. The session lasted for about 2 and a half hours. It was also my very first time to drive alone with Brandon. It was my first time to drive to town on my own with the help of TomTom, of course. And it was my first time to go shopping all by myself. It was indeed very liberating. I finally taste freedom after almost a couple of years of being imprisoned [at home that is.] MJ, my friend in West Virginia was right… the driver’s license will give me the freedom I couldn’t imagine.

I picked up Brandon from school to bring him to his doctor’s appointment. When I get there, they were having lunch. But then since I already sent a letter to his teacher about his appointment they were already expecting me. It took only a few minutes before I saw Brandon walking down the hallway. Kelly, the Guidance Counselor was all smiles when she saw me. She asked me if it’s true that I already have my Driver’s License. Apparently, Brandon told everyone in school that I already have one.

Oh boy, we cannot keep any secret in the house anymore. We need to be careful now or else the whole community will know what’s going on in our household. We need to be a little discrete now if we want to keep others out of our own business. And we need to be cautious with what we say too because Brandon can pick up anything easily and before we know it, we are in trouble. Oh well, what do you expect? Kids will be kids.

It really wasn't a secret anyway once you wrote about it on your blog for the whole world to see! LOL
