Of aliens and battery-operated watch

Another week has passed and we are a couple of weeks more before Halloween. I don’t know if Brandon can wait that long. He was a Power Ranger last year and this year… it’s still a surprise. He has been giving us some idea or clue what he wants to be this Halloween and his Dad just gave a shrug. Oh well, what do you expect? Boys when they became men don’t care about Halloween costumes anymore. They are into real things like... [expensive] hunting outfit and gear.

Brandon wanted to be an alien this time. He has been dreaming… breathing… and sighing aliens day-in and day-out. All he thinks about are – aliens this and aliens that. Dory, his Case Manager also told me that all he talks about in school are also aliens. So he graduated from dinosaurs and not move up to aliens. Blame it to Ben 10 and his Omnitrix… a special watch that can turn Ben [a 10 year old boy] into an alien with a push of the button.

We bought him the Omnitrix one time hoping that it will surely turn him into an Alien just like it does to Ben 10 but he was very disappointed when it didn’t happen. He didn’t cry though and Daddy just told him that maybe he used the wrong battery for the watch.
